Hello Everyone!
Long time no read/write. I know, I know, my apologies for not spending time here and on your blogs. I’ve been busy with work and sometimes when it all gets to be too much, I drop the ball on my writing/reading/mucking-around-on-the-internet.
That ball would have continued to gather dust if I hadn’t been (wasting time) on my Kindle. While waiting in a hotel lobby, I started playing a word game. And, for those of you who don’t have a Kindle Fire, after you play a game, but it is still on the roll-banner-thing that goes across the top, Amazon will suggest other apps. The nanobots suggested the Wattpad app.
I recalled that I had set up an account there ages ago and realized I had been remiss in paying attention to the few friends I had on there. In addition, Phillip McCollum just started using Wattpad and that got me thinking I should post some of my stories there, too.
I’m not entirely sure it’s a good idea to give away stories for free, but everyone’s doing it so I supposed I’ll go along with the crowd.

I put up my Wyvernfight story that I posted here some time ago (same story), and I’m posting the story I included in last year’s anthology (in parts, still not finished). Feel free to give feedback – good or bad – either here or there.
Not much else going on in my neck of the woods. How about you? Anyone tempted to attempt NaNoWriMo?

Hello stranger! I had Wattpad for a little while when I had my BlackBerry phone. Admittedly it was a few years ago now and I have not touched it since. Back then, I didn’t find much of quality but it seems to have grown in the last few years so maybe the quality has gone up too?
Not sure the quality has changed but simply added to. A few of my favorite authors are on there now. It seems they post short stories to entice readers to buy their novels.
Ahhh, that doesn’t surprise me. I was on Red Room and they closed their site about a year ago and recommended people move to Wattpad.
Maybe I should take another look 🙂
Nila, I saw all of your updates this weekend. That’s awesome! Now I just need to set aside some reading time. Thanks kindly for the plug to my profile as well. And again, now I just need to set aside some writing time to finish my story. 😉
Oh – I thought you already had it all written and was just doling it out. That’s what I’m doing!
No worries on reading. If you get to it, great, if not, no worries. Though I would like your opinion. I wrote the story some time ago and re-reading it, I realized how info-dumpy the first bit is. And some of the dialogue is so…corny! Sometimes I think I am improving and other times I wonder what I’m doing. 🙂
Well, I kinda-sorta have the story written, but it’s from previous drafts. I’m using Wattpad as the forum for a rewrite, so while some of the story is already down, I’m changing the scenes up quite a bit. And I definitely will get to your stuff, hopefully providing some good feedback.
As far as improving, I hear you… it seems to come in fits and starts. It’s definitely not a steady upward climb. A few dips along the way. 😉
