For all you Mark Lawrence fans out there, Bloody Cake News is having a little writing contest. The prize is an advanced reader’s copy of Mark Lawrence’s Prince of Fools (due out in June).
Read the details here, then hop over to their submittal page and write your 300 word epic.
My story is up there (mistakes and all) for you to gawk at.

I loved your story! Tough to pull off a beginning, middle, and end not to mention a theme in 300 words, but you certainly did. Is this something we can vote for down the line?
Oh, thank you! You definitely made my day. 🙂
As far as us voting, I don’t think so. I think the entries are being judged by Mark Lawrence, a few other authors, and the site owners. I think.
I did ask to see if they would allow readers to vote because I wanted to read and vote too. Of course, I’m saying that now while there are not too many entries to read. 😉
If I find out any different, I’ll be sure to let you know. Thanks again.
My pleasure. 🙂
I just found out: no voting. Entries will be judged by the panel only. And make sure your entry has the words: fools (with an ‘s’) and prince. (Mine didn’t – oh, well.)
I won’t be entering, but I wanted to vote for yours if possible. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
Oooh, might take a look!
I actually came over to tell you that you get an honourable mention in my latest blog post. Please do get involved in the blog tour!
Thanks! I appreciate the mention. 🙂
And, yes, you should enter. Mine was a total flop (I didn’t read the instructions properly), so make sure you use ‘fools’ (with an ‘s’) and ‘prince’. Good luck!
