Hey Folks,
I don’t do poetry, I’m terrible at it, but when I saw this week’s Daily Post Haiku Challenge, I got the urge to join in (one haiku for the next five days). Maybe you should too? Check out the link at the end of this post.
As for me, I once wrote a haiku that folks actually liked. I have no clue where it is now (buried somewhere in the bowels of my computer), else I’d present it to you, but then I figured I’d keep to the spirit of the challenge and actually come up with one each day of this week.
I also thought it would be cool if I could tell the current short story I’m working on in five haikus. We’ll see.
So, here it goes…
A witch comes to roost
Head high, eyes bright, child at heels
To fight skin-deep hate

I don’t do poetry either, I don’t even do haiku! Good luck, you’re off to a good start 🙂
Thanks! It is definitely a challenge. I am, of course, regretting the impromptu decision…
Shining brightly, words
Thick as honey, fine as wine
From the author’s heart
Nice! You’ll have to play along too. 🙂
I’m going to put it in my next SCBWI newsletter, I believe.
Good idea!
