Woman’s best friend

I just can’t think of anything useful to write tonight, folks.  My apologies.

To mollify the blow, I offer my dog.  He never fails to bring a smile to my face.  I hope he does the same for you.

  1. Hey Randall!

We got Alby from the pound about 12 years ago. Since then, when walking out in the woods if we happened upon a hunter, he’d stop and say, “That’s a catahoula.” We looked them up online, and remarkably, Alby exhibited quite a few of their characteristics. He has always been a great hunter (bobcats, bears, mountain lions, coyotes, squirrels, you name it), so, maybe. But he’s still a mutt to us. We love him just the same. Yours may be related, either a catahoula or a mutt. Either way, I’m sure he’s awesome. 🙂

    1. Hello Mark,

I used to try to take macro pictures of snow crystals. Truckee gets freezing fog and it would form the most amazing ice structures on trees and downed limbs, but I never had the proper equipment to get the kind of shots that you do. Do you got snow where you live? would love to see you try your hand with ice and snow.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Nila, you live in a wonderful place. And dogs always bring a smile to my face. I’m looking forward to one day having my own place and a dog…

    1. Don’t rush in to it. I envy the young with no boat anchors, able to pick up and move or travel when they want/can. We are a little stuck.

We are living on the coast now. We still have our home in Truckee (yes, it is gorgeous), so we still get to visit, but we are enjoying warmth now – year round!

      Thanks for stopping by.
